#18 Dave Richer

Dave Richer started racing stock gas go karts in 1999, in New York when he was only 7-1/2 years old. His father Ed Richer raced dirt modifieds in New York for 22 years. He was a natural racer, with lots of talent. He was born with the fuel to race and the love of the sport. His 1st year he had 11 wins at Caroga Creek Raceway. His 2nd year he accomplished over 30 wins at 2 tracks. His 3rd year he went racing at 3 different tracks and accomplished over 70 wins and over 90 top 3's. In his 4th year he went to Hawkinsville Raceway half way thru the year and still won the championship with 11 straight wins and about 40 more at other tracks. Dave Richer's next 2 championships came in his 5th year at Caroga Creek Raceway and Hawkinsville Raceway. His 6th year racing he only raced at one track, the same track where he started, Caroga Creek Raceway, he didn't accomplish any wins at that track, that year, but went out with a bang! He moved to North Carolina, for racing, on August 1, 2005. In his first race down south, he finished 1st in a money race with a field of 9 karts, with the help of a local racer, Brandon Lloyd, (who we didn't even know). He went on to win 7 more races in North Carolina in the year 2005. In 2006, he emassed 3 wins in the very competitive Stock Heavy class. In 2007, he won 7 races.
