#18 James Stanley Jr.
BIOGRAPHY
James Stanley Jr. was born a racing fan, his father an Earnhardt fan and his uncle, Ed Richer, a dirt modified driver. In 2004, after almost 14 years living in the state of New York his parents finally made the decision to move to Salisbury, North Carolina, in the heart of the race state. In the summer of 2005 he revisited New York and began getting involved in kart racing with his cousins Dave, Bud and his uncle Ed Richer. Since then, he has been one of the main crew members on the Richer Racing team, helping to make calls and work on the kart. In 2005 the Richer family moved down to North Carolina, 4 miles away from the Stanleys. Bud Richer, however, stayed in New York, so James was named "Crew Chief" for the Richer team. In 2006, James started his first race in September. He won his very first feature event on June 7, 2008, in a North Carolina State Series event, at Liberty Raceway Park. James is attending UNC-Charlotte to pursue his degree in Motorsports Engineering.
